ACS-AN INTRODUCTION

Door Controller

The door controller will be an intelligent control unit that is used to process and manage the entry and exit transaction through each of the access controlled doors.

Each access controlled door will have one dedicated door controller with its own internal power supply & Battery backup.

Failure of one controller will affect the operation of only one door, while the rest of the system will continue to function without any reduction in the functionality.

The door controller stores in its memory all the system parameters and card databases and is virtually independent of the network server for its regular operations.

It will also update the network server of the card entry / exit transaction data with time and date stamp when the network is online.

If the network is off line, the door controller will store such data in its internal memory and transfer the same to the server, as and when it comes back on line.
